Valley of Fire ToursAn Independent Guide Check Availability

Editorial Methodology

This page exists so you can judge the comparisons on this site rather than trust them. We compare tour listings, official visitor information and recent traveller feedback. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, and nothing here is written as if we did. The Valley of Fire tours comparison sits on the homepage.

What this site is

An independent comparison of the guided trips that run to Valley of Fire State Park from Las Vegas, plus the practical information a visitor needs before booking one. We are not a tour operator, a travel agency or a seller of travel. We hold no bookings, take no payments and have no staff in Nevada.

Every booking happens on the operator's own platform under their terms. If something goes wrong with a trip, the operator and the platform are who you deal with, not us.

Where the tour data comes from

Prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, group caps, age limits and cancellation terms are read directly off each operator's own listing and reproduced with the date they were read. Every tour page carries the same fields in the same order so eight trips can be compared line by line, and each one states its own "price last checked" date.

We do not copy operator marketing descriptions. Where an itinerary time or an inclusion is quoted, it comes from the listing's own itinerary block, which is also where the hours-in-the-park figures on this site come from.

  • Tour listing checked: August 2026 for the seven GetYourGuide listings
  • The single Viator listing was last read in June 2026 and says so on its own page
  • Review counts and ratings read on the same date as the price
  • Product IDs published on every tour page so you can verify the listing yourself

Where the park information comes from

Fees, opening hours and trail closures are checked against Nevada State Parks' own published information for Valley of Fire, then dated on the page. Entry is $15 per vehicle for out-of-state visitors and $10 for Nevada residents, verified in August 2026, and the park is open from sunrise to sunset with the visitor centre open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The closure dates matter more here than the fee. Fire Wave, the Seven Wonders Loop and several other trails are shut annually from May 15 through September 30 because of heat-related medical calls and fatalities, while operator listings continue to name Fire Wave as a stop all year. Where sources disagree, we say so and show the date attached to each number.

Temperature figures are long-term averages for the park area, not a forecast.

How traveller feedback is used

Traveller feedback reviewed: more than 2,400 verified reviews across the eight tours, plus the platform's own category sub-scores for guide, transport and value.

We quote reviews with the reviewer's first name, country and the month they travelled, exactly as published, and we do not edit them into something more flattering. Showcased quotes are positive ones, because that is what a recommendation block is; the criticism that recurs across reviews — a fast pace on one operator's hikes, a guide who needed a microphone, a last-minute cancellation on the Viator listing — is written into the guide text on the tour pages, with advice attached. We never write testimonials.

What we cannot verify

We do not inspect the park, ride along on the tours, meet the guides or audit safety records. We cannot tell you whether a particular driver is careful, whether a listed inclusion appeared on the day, or whether the substitute stop offered during the summer trail closure is a fair swap.

We also cannot see live availability or the price you will be quoted for your date. The figures here are starting prices at the time of the check; the number that matters is the one on the checkout page.

How affiliate links affect this

Links to tours are affiliate links. If you book through one, the platform pays a commission and you pay the same price you would pay going directly. The full arrangement is set out in the affiliate disclosure.

Commission does not decide which tours appear, the order they sit in, or what is said about them. The cheapest trip on the site earns the least and is the one recommended for most visitors, and the highest-earning trip carries the site's most critical section.

Corrections

Prices move, operators change itineraries and trails close. If a number here is out of date, tell us what you found and when you were there. Corrections get made and the check date on the page is updated with them.
