Book it if
You want the park covered properly in one morning and you have something planned that evening. You are travelling on a budget and the $15 entry, lunch and transport being inside the fare matters. You are fine with a full pace and a group of a dozen strangers.
It is also the right choice if this is your only day trip out of Las Vegas: eight stops is the fullest itinerary at this price, and the operator has more reviews behind it than any other Valley of Fire tour on either platform.

This place is so beautiful. On entering the park, the day just got better and better. For me, Pastel Canyon and the Fire Wave were the highlight. We stopped for a packed lunch at the picnic area in the shade under the ramadas.
Nice comfortable van with USB port for phone charging (bring your own cable). Our driver and guide Franco was friendly, informative and took pictures during the hikes. The hikes could be adjusted for your fitness level.
